Introducing this year's gardens!
411 Providence Rd. “Providence Lavender Farm” | Beverly & Ralph Goding
In just a few years, these gardeners have created a lavender farm with 1000 English and French Lavender plants and a store to purchase their hand made goods. There’s a vegetable garden, chickens and even a water feature along the patio.
98 Kuskanook Rd. | Betty Faletto
Urban living can provide space for everything a gardener needs. Fruit trees, berries, raised beds, grapes, flowers and even a “go-go” place for her dog. She even has a few peaceful sitting areas for quite time.
710 Pine St. “Park Place” | Liz Stephenson
Each section of this tiny garden is dedicated to Liz’s grandchildren. Creativity exhumes with attention to artistic, eclectic detail. Evergreens mixed with deciduous plants provides color in winter. It’s a joyful place with a happy hut, bistro, water feature and wooden sculptures.
901 Pine St. | John Weinberg
Come giggle at John’s artzy, fartzy yard art and enjoy over 100 perennials including fruit trees, berries, and vegetables. He is the master of disciplining and dividing to keep all those plants in this small space. Take a peak at his artzy studio too.
301 S. Second Ave. “Plaza Garden” | Denise and Terry Plaza
There’s a lot going on in this busy corner lot using unique privacy panels. Its loaded with plants along pathways, including several varieties of blue berries, and raspberries. Using 6’ Keyhole gardening boxes that are self composting for vegetables they maximize space. Park in commercial parking lot in back.
1903 Ontario St. “Cedar Mountain Herb Farmlet” | Suzanne & Gottfried Tabert
Stroll through the 4,000+ square ft herb garden and the 5,000 square ft. vegetable garden and don’t forget the many fruit trees in the new orchard. Suzanne is passionate about the use of herbs for many purposes as well as growing fresh vegetables. Be a part of the “buzz” of the bees and hummingbirds, take your shoes off, sip some cold herbal lemonade among the chickens and cats. Overflow parking at the Catholic Church.
188 Wrenco Loop “Avalon” | Kelly & Randy Daniels
Once the old Sandpoint dump, Kelly has created a peaceful, colorful oasis that is chemical free, a wildlife eco system and monarch butterfly way station. Enjoy the variety of plantings as well as the creek that flows through her property. Explore the “wheelchair accessible” paths to the native woodlands, milkweed and hop fields.
100 River Run, Laclede “Wild Thyme” | LeEtta Ricker
Enter a pleasant scene of meadows and lawn, this garden is a deer proof peaceful haven. The she shed is surrounded with trees and flowers, birds and squirrels happily playing. Fruit trees, berries, and a separate vegetable garden. Watch for deer, moose, and elk in the meadows.
