Description
The course follows the Master Gardener curriculum and meets every Tuesday and Thursday morning for 7 weeks, beginning in late January 2026. Some classes are shared with the U of I Master Gardener program and take place at the U of I facility on Boyer Avenue adjacent to the organic orchard. Other classes are held at the BCGA classroom in the Ponderay Events Center building, featuring local experts.
On completion of the course, participants are invited to become members of the BCGA Garden Association. Benefits of membership include invitations to potlucks at member’s gardens, reduced fees for future classes, a Christmas gala, learning more about gardening and opportunities to make new friends through volunteering for gardening projects.
