April 2 HOW TO CREATE A SUCCESSFUL GARDEN IN NORTH IDAHO with Karen Bennett
Gardening in North Idaho can be challenging. Learn how to create a beautiful and bountiful garden. Topics will include soil basics, seed starting and recommendations for plants that grow well for our zones.
April 9 ORNAMENTAL PRUNING with Gail Locke
This course designed to help beginning home gardeners learn to prune shrubs, small flowering trees, and to create a strong, well-spaced framework for future growth. You’ll learn about proper pruning techniques that will improve the appearance and health of trees and shrubs. You will also learn about timing, tools and techniques for successful pruning.
April 16 ORNAMENTAL LANDSCAPING FOR A CONTINUOUS BLOOM with Marrion Banks-Newsam
What is more enjoyable than beautiful flowers in your garden. Learn how to keep blooms going for our entire short growing season.
April 23 COMPOSTING with Janae Dale and Ann Warwick
Good soil is the foundation to a successful garden whether you are growing edibles or perennials. Learn how to create compost from what is on hand.

Don’t give up the idea gardening as we age. Gardening is a source of physical activity and mental stimulation. With the help of useful tips and tools you can stock your home with a healthful bounty and beautify your home with lovely flowers.
Fees cover the cost of venue, publications, materials and the support of non-profit activities of the Bonner County Gardeners Association.
We are unable to provide credits, refunds or transfers for any classes.
